Oops, did that actually come out?
The most recent ravings by John Kerry do not come as that much of a surprise to me. He always seems to be constantly performing for the cameras; not a real person at all, just a plastic doppelganger of himself. We rarely get to see (or in this case hear) the real person behind that finely crafted and tailored veneer. But this last slip up from Kerry really allows us to see how ugly (and extremely liberal) it is under that veneer of carefully crafted words.
The last 24 hours of news coverage have been filled with many arguments involving discussion if Kerry really intended to insult our military men and women. Kerry does not have the intestinal or testicular fortitude to say something that unpopular for the sake of his own personal convictions. Kerry will ALWAYS say what he believes is popular, a true fence sitter. John Kerry certainly does not have the character that it would take to self destruct simply because he has something as minor as a personal conviction.
I don’t think that the intentions of Kerry were to actually insult military personnel, though he certainly succeeded in doing so, his naive and disconnected lifestyle from the rest of America is what did him in. Kerry did what most liberals usually do, he assumed that everyone in America (except our president), think just like him. He assumed that all of America believes that in order for a person to be foolish enough to join the military, they must be either really stupid, or so dirt poor, that they have no other choice. The thought that a person simply might have a strong patriotic feeling of duty toward their homeland, and want to serve their country, never entered his mind.
We can truly see into the mind of John Kerry here. By saying what he said, he was making an admission, projecting his own personal circumstances into all others that have joined the military. I believe that Kerry’s comments really meant to say that when he personally joined the military, he was just dumb, uneducated and had no other option at the time. He then projected his own experience into all others who join the military.
John Kerry would like us all to believe that his comments were a mistake, or a slip of the tongue. I agree that it was the wrong thing to say, but really, Kerry’s comment truly embodies what he believes to be true. He later realized that it was an unpopular thing to say, and that his words were a mis-step, but was it a slip of the tongue? No, not a chance.
John Kerry’s so-called "apology" was just as despicable as the insult itself. The insult took place under a festive, boisterous, and highly publicized speech. It was fun and easy to sling words which would insult and bash all of those things which Kerry holds in contempt. But the so-called "apology" really was just a disclaimer (printed only on the internet) which stated "gosh, if you are offended by how I feel about you, I am really, really sorry that you found out about how I feel" Is Kerry sorry? Well, we know that he is sorry… sorry that we finally got a glimpse of that really ugly guy under the carefully crafted veneer. Hello John Kerry! We see you!!!
